NORWICH – Businesses and organizations in Chenango County and the surrounding region are invited
to meet potential employees at the third annual College & Community Job Fair on November 8, 2017.
Presented by Commerce Chenango and Morrisville State College, the College & Community Job Fair is
open to corporations, government agencies, small businesses, and non-profit organizations, whether they
are actively hiring or simply want to get to know the community better.
“Job fairs are a proven model for bringing local job seekers face-to- face with companies ready to fill
openings,” says Steve Craig, president and CEO of Commerce Chenango. “This event will be a great
networking opportunity for both growing businesses and future employees who are eager to work.”
Last year, more than 20 area businesses participated in the College & Community Job Fair, and some
were able to conduct interviews on the spot.
“As this event grows year to year, we anticipate that it will contribute to the successful growth of local
businesses and foster a higher employment rate in our community,” says Craig. “Participation in
Commerce Chenango events like the Job Fair is a great way for businesses to invest in the local economy.”
The growing list of participants includes co-sponsors NBT-Mang Insurance Agency and The Raymond
Corporation, as well as DCMO-BOCES, Family Enrichment Network, Fidelis Care, NBT Bank, Oneonta
Job Corps Academy, Snyder Communication, Staffworks, Inc., Townsquare Media, and more.
The Third Annual College & Community Job Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday,
November 8, 2017 at Morrisville’s Norwich Campus, 20 Conkey Ave. in Norwich. To register as an
